India is offering more incentives to lure private Companies into the Semiconductors push
IT minister Ashwini Vaishnav said “we have an appetite for more, we have a need for more,” Central Minister said. Recently, the Government of India has increased its focus on the Semiconductor sector of the country to beat the international market and improve its productivity.

India revealed to the investor that the country is more focused on the semiconductor sector and trying to increase the production of chips in the international market. It also said that it will expand its incentives for those investing in semiconductor manufacturing. The Indian government is trying to attract global companies in a bid to become a key player in the global supply chain for chips.
The government and related ministry of the government has drawn some incentive of $10 billion to attract semiconductor and display makers. The companies such as a joint venture between Indian conglomerate Vedanta and Taiwan’s Foxconn, and Singapore’s IGSS Ventures.
India’s first semiconductor conference was held In Bengaluru, the southern city, The IT minister of India Ashwini Vaishnav said “After this first tranche gets utilized, we definitely will go for more.”
He further said “We have an appetite for more, we have a need for more,” the government officials told about the surge in India’s Semiconductor growth and said earlier India’s semiconductor market’s worth was $15 billion and now it is estimated to reach $63 billion by the year 2026.
During the modern development in every county is going on in many sectors, Semiconductor sector is also being developed in many countries by many international forms and at present Taiwan is the dominant country in terms of Chi[p production and some other are the United States and few other countries.
During the conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India wanted to emerge as a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain and said they are urging companies to consider setting up. The step is a part of Modi’s flagship “Make in India,” project.
